Chris McGroarty
Chris is an award-winning advertising copywriter and creative director who likes to write about himself in the third person. He says it makes him feel less vulnerable.
And so his career begins at Sears writing catalogues. At the time, his parents chuckle at the word “career.”
Moving on to some of the top agencies in Toronto, Chris has “experiences” with big national brands like Bell, McDonald's, Kraft and Ford. That goes on for a long time.
But then Chris has some experiences with small agencies. He started one, called Jimmy. And then annother, called Uncommon which he founded with two partners - Malcolm and Prasad.
Then Chris did what a lot of ad people do. He jumped client-side and spent two years at a fintech startup as partner and CMO. (Did Chris mention he likes to act?)
More recently, you would have found Chris working away in a big bank as creative director of their in-house advertising agency.
But alas…
He is now the office manager at The Martha Hicks School of Ballet.
